英语绘本：Winnie's Midnight Dragon《温妮和午夜小飞龙》

适合年龄：3岁以上

" Time for bed," said Winnie the Witch, as the clock struck twelve. Witches always go to bed at midnight. Winnie turned off the lights and went upstairs.

“该睡觉了”温妮说，此时大钟正敲响十二点，女巫总是午夜才睡觉的，温妮关上灯，走上楼。

She brushed her teeth, washed her face, put on her nightie and climbed into bed. In two minutes she was snoring.

她刷了牙，洗了脸，爬上床。两分钟后就呼呼大睡了。

Wilbur, her big black cat, was already asleep. He was curled up in his basket, dreaming.

威尔伯，她的大黑猫早就睡着了。他正蜷在篮子里做美梦呢。

Two minutes later, Wilbur woke up. He could hear a funny noise in the garden.

两分钟后，威尔伯惊醒了，他听见花园里传来一阵滑稽的喧闹声。

He crept to the cat flap and peeped out. There was something on the doormat. Something with big green eyes.

他爬到猫洞边向外张望，门垫上有什么东西，一个长着绿色大眼睛的东西。

" Meeoww!" cried Wilbur, and he jumped back. A long nose poked through the cat flap.

“喵呜，”威尔伯大叫，并且跳了回来，一只长长的鼻子从猫洞伸了进来。

Then there was a puff of smoke. The cat flap wobbled and shook.

突然弥漫着一阵烟雾，猫洞剧烈摇晃起来。

A spiky body, then a long tail, followed the nose. There was a baby  dragon in Winnie's house!

鼻子后面是长满尖刺的身躯，还有长长的尾巴，原来是一只幼小的飞龙，就在温妮屋子里！

" Meeoww!" cried Wilbur. He turned three back ward somesaults and ran into the hall.

“喵呜，”威尔伯大叫，朝后翻了三个筋斗，跳进了大厅。

The baby dragon thought this was fun. He ran after Wilbur. Swish, swish, went his tail. Winnie's grandfather clock wobbled and shook. DING! DONG! BOING!

小飞龙觉得很有趣，就跟着威尔伯，他的尾巴嗖嗖作响，温妮祖父的大钟摆动了起来，叮咚嘣！

" Meeoww!" cried Wilbur, and he raced upstairs. The baby dragon ran after him. Swish, swish went his tail. Winnie's suit of armor wobbled and shook and rolled down the stairs. CRASH! BANG! CLANG!

“喵呜，”威尔伯继续叫着朝楼上冲去，小飞龙紧追不舍，他的尾巴嗖嗖作响，温妮的盔甲晃动起来，滚下楼，啪呯呛！

" Meeoww!" cried Wilbur outside Winnie's door. Winnie woke up and jumped out of bed. " Whatever's that?" she said.

“喵呜，”威尔伯在温妮门口尖叫，温妮醒来，跳下床，“出什么事了？”她说。

Then she saw a puff of smoke coming from behind her broomstick. " Oh no!" said Winnie. " My broomstick is on fire!"

接着她看到一股浓烟从她扫帚柄后面冒了出来。

“噢，不！”温妮说，“我的扫帚柄着火了！”

Winnie grabbed her broomstick. "Goodness gracious me!" said Winnie. " It 's a baby  dragon! He could burn my house down. We'll have to find his mother,  Wilbur."

温妮抓过扫帚柄，“天啦，“温妮叫道，”是只小飞龙，他会烧掉我的房子的，我们必须找到他的妈妈，威尔伯。“

" Where's your mother, little dragon?" Winnie asked.

”你的妈妈呢，小飞龙？“温妮问道。

" Boo hoo hoo," cried the baby dragon. A cloud of smoke came out of his nose. Puff, puff.

”波呼呼，“小飞龙哭了起来，一大股浓烟从他鼻子里冒出来，噗噗。

Then Winnie had an idea. She waved her magic wand three times and shouted, ABRACADABRA!

突然温妮想到一个主意，她挥动三下魔法棒念道，ABRACADABRA!

" Puff!" went the dragon, and out of his nose came...a cloud of butterflies. " Puff, puff, puff," went the baby dragon, who was very surprised.

"噗！”小飞龙跑动起来，鼻孔里飞出……一大群蝴蝶，“噗噗噗，”小飞龙奔跑着，他感到很惊奇.

There were butterflies everywhere. Wilbur loved chasing butterflies. The baby dragon loved chasing anything!

到处都是蝴蝶，威尔伯喜欢追逐蝴蝶，小飞龙喜欢追逐任何东西。

SMASH! went Winnie's best bowl. SPLASH! went the vase of flowers. CRASH! went the table.

啪！温妮最爱的碗打碎了。啪！花瓶摔在地上。哐当！桌子被掀翻了。

" That wasn't such a good idea," said Winnie. She waved her magic wand again and shouted, ABRACADABRA!

“这注意可没有想象的好，”温妮说，她再次挥舞魔法棒，大声念道：

ABRACABRA!

Out of the dragon's nose came...nothing.

从小飞龙鼻孔里飞出……什么也没有。

" Good," said Winnie. " Now let's get some sleep."

“好了，”温妮说，“我们现在睡会吧。”

But the baby dragon didn't want to sleep. He wanted to play.

然而小飞龙完全不想睡。他想玩。

" Bother!" said Winnie. " We'd better find your mother right now!"

“烦透了，”温妮说，“我们最好马上找到你的妈妈！”

She got a flashlight and went out onto the roof. " Yoo-hoo," she called.

她拿着手电筒，跑上屋顶。“呜呼，”她呼唤起来。

It was quiet and dark on the roof. " Yoo-hoo," Winnie called again and waved her flashlight.

屋顶四周又静又黑，“呜呼，”温妮又呼唤了一声，挥舞起她的手电筒。

Suddenly there was a flash of fire, and the sound of great wings. " Mamamama," he called. " Yoo- hoo- hoo!" called Winnie.

突然火花闪现，远处传来巨大翅膀扇动的声音，小飞龙高兴地上蹿下跳，“妈妈妈妈妈妈”他大叫着。”哟呼呼，“温妮不停地呼唤着。

But the baby dragon's mother didn't see them. Then Winnie had a wonderful idea.

可是小飞龙的妈妈没有见到他们，于是温妮想了一个很棒的主意。

She grabbed her wand, waved it six times, shouted, ABRACADABRA! and there, above her house, was an enormous moon.

她抓起魔法棒，挥舞了六下念道，ABRACABRA！这时她的屋顶上出现了一个大月亮。

The mother dragon came flying back. She swooped down and scooped up her baby.

飞龙妈妈飞了过来，她扑下来抓起她的小宝宝。

" Wait a minute!" called Winnie. She waved her magic wand and shouted, ABRACADABRA!

”等等，“温妮叫道，她挥起魔法棒念着：ABRACABRA!

" Puff!" went the baby dragon, and smoke came out of his nose again.

”噗！“小飞龙离开了，烟雾重新从他的鼻孔里冒出。

The two dragons flew high into the sky and disappeared.

两只飞龙越飞越高，消失在天空……

Winnie wave her wand, shouted, ABRACADABRA!

温妮挥起魔法棒念着：ABRACADABRA!

and the enormous moon went out. " Now let's go back to bed, Wilbur," she said.

大大的月亮消失了，”威尔伯，我们现在终于可以上床睡觉了。“她说。

Winnie climbed into bed and shut her eyes. In half a minute she was snoring. Wilbur was already asleep in his basket.

温妮爬上床闭上眼睛，半分钟她就打起了呼噜。威尔伯早已在他的篮子里熟睡了。

Just then, the sun rose. The night was over. But Winnie the Witch and Wilbur were fast asleep.

就在这时，太阳升起来，夜晚结束了。而温妮和威尔伯却睡的正香呢。
